Texas AM standout sets single-game record

Carter scores 46 points to lead Aggies

Wants to dunk on LeBron James

Chennedy Carter is just a sophomore, but she's already making a name for herself in college basketball. The Texas A&M guard set the school's single-game scoring record with 46 points in a win over USC on Friday night.

Carter's 46 points are the most by any player in the SEC this season, and they're the fourth-most by any player in the country. She also had 12 rebounds and 8 assists in the game.

Carter is a 5-foot-9 guard from Mansfield, Texas. She was a McDonald's All-American coming out of high school, and she was named the SEC Freshman of the Year last season.

Carter is a dynamic scorer who can get to the basket at will. She's also a good passer and rebounder.

Carter's performance against USC was a coming-out party for the young star. She showed that she's one of the best players in the country, and she's only going to get better in the years to come.
