Trump Aide Rudy Giuliani Indicted by Arizona Grand Jury

Special Counsel Grants Immunity to Ex-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows

ATLANTA - A state grand jury in Arizona indicted Trump aide Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday, while former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has been granted immunity by the special counsel investigating the January 6th Capitol riot.

The indictment against Giuliani, former New York City mayor and prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump, stems from his role in attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. The charges include participating in a conspiracy to submit false electoral certificates to Congress.

Meanwhile, Meadows, who had been subpoenaed by the special counsel, has reportedly provided information and documents to investigators in exchange for immunity. According to sources, Meadows has testified that he warned Trump about the potential violence that could occur on January 6th.

In related news, the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riot has voted unanimously to hold Meadows in contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with its investigation.

Trump himself is expected to turn himself in at the Fulton County jail in connection with an investigation into his attempts to pressure Georgia officials to overturn the election results.
